Shalom to you all in the wonderful names of Yahweh and
Yahshua. I hope everyone has had a good week!
Hopefully many of you read my post from last week on praying
for the best and preparing for the worst. It was timely to make that
information available to my small little network of people that Yahweh has put
in my reach of communication.
The fall feast are upon on us starting this next week with
Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets). Followed by Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) 10
days later and then followed lastly my favorite, the Feast of Tabernacles.
Yahweh put it on my heart this week to send out a little overview of the Feast
of Trumpets to give it some exposure. Also, to give a little word along with
it.
There are seven Feast of Yahweh and we are now entering into
the fall/autumn group of three. The first four occur in the spring and give us
an account of what has already come to pass. Whereas the fall feast are
foreshadows of things yet to come. The appointed times are called Moadim in the Hebrew and are just that
APPOINTMENTS! Yahweh does not change and when something is put in motion by Him
it is timeless and certain.
“For I am YAHWEH, I do not Change” – Malachi 3:6
The feast are His appointments not the creations of men or
religion but are truly His. We find the evidence of this in Leviticus 23 where
He speaks to Moses:
“And YAHWEH spoke to Moses saying, speak to the sons of Israel, and you
shall say to them, the set feast of YAHWEH which you shall proclaim as holy
gatherings shall be these: These are My appointed feasts:”
The 23rd chapter of Leviticus gives us the
instructions of the Sabbath day and the feast of YAHWEH. These instructions did
not change nor were they done away with when Yahshua Messiah was crucified.
Remember these feast are not “Jewish” feast as the world would have you believe
but they are Feast appointed by our Creator Yahweh. The feast are for everyone
who believes in Him and His son Yahshua. The Feast of Trumpets this year falls on
Monday September 14th according to the Jewish calendar. The feast
begins at sundown on Sunday the 13th until sundown Monday the 14th.
After the first feast of Passover of the first feast of
Yahweh is conducted in Egypt we see where He gives a statute: “And
the day shall be a memorial to you, and you shall celebrate it as a feast to
Yahweh, for your generations. You shall celebrate it as low forever.” Exo 12:14
*Note from Don Esposito: “The day of Passover shall be
celebrated forever. However, YHWH has the prerogative to change the symbols of
the Passover as He did in the New Covenant using bread and wine to symbolize
the slain blood of the Lamb of Yah.”
Here is a great teaching on the Feast of Trumpets, Trumpet
note “The Teruah Note”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7ouNvXHxes&list=PL2ApEsoj7vdf9sEaPWKKiT1A5ldeN9kgv
Feast of Trumpets
“The number seven in Yahweh's plan signifies completion and
perfection. The seventh month of Yahweh's calendar contains the final four
festivals, picturing the completion of Yahweh's Master Plan for mankind. The
festival that occurs on the first day of this month marks the beginning of the
final events in Yahweh's plan. The Feast of Trumpets portrays a pivotal event
in Yahweh's plan of salvation. It not only pictures the coming of Messiah to
resurrect and change the first fruits, it also pictures the terrible time of
world war just ahead and the intervention of Yahshua Messiah to save humanity
from total annihilation, as well as to establish the Kingdom of Yahweh on
earth.
Was this festival to be a memorial of blowing of
trumpets?
Lev 23:24 Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, In the
seventh month, on the first of the month, a Holy Day Sabbath shall be to you, a
memorial acclamation of the resounding of trumpets, a holy gathering.
COMMENT: It is from this ceremony that the Feast of
Trumpets draws its name. There is a great deal of symbolic meaning tied in with
the blowing of these trumpets - especially with regard to the end time in which
we're living. Trumpets were blown to announce Yahweh's festivals, as well as to
call Yahweh's people to assembly and to announce the reigning of a new King.
Trumpets were also used as an alarm of invading armies and impending warfare.
This terrifying sound filled the people of ancient Israel with fear because
they knew the horror of war was imminent! It is this warning of war that sets
apart the Feast of Trumpets from Yahweh's other festivals.
“And as He was
sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying,
Tell us, when will these things be? And, What is the sign of Your coming and of
the end of the age? For you are bound to hear of revolutions and rumor of wars.
Watch out and do not be disturbed, for it is necessary that all these things
happen, but it is not yet the end. For nation will be raised against nation,
and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines and plagues and
earthquakes against many places. But all
these are only a beginning of sorrows.
- Matt 24:3-8
What does the book of Revelation say regarding the blowing
of supernatural trumpets shortly before the return of Yahshua Messiah?
Rev 8:1 And
when He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in Heaven for about a half
hour.
Rev 8:2 And I
saw the seven cherubs who stood before Yahweh, and seven trumpets were given to
them.
Rev 8:6 And the
seven cherubs having the seven trumpets prepared themselves, that they might
trumpet.
COMMENT: The seventh seal that covered the scroll (Rev.
5:1), when opened, disclosed seven angels with seven trumpets representing
seven consecutive colossal world events. These are to be physical punishments
from Yahweh to warn the nations not to go further into national and personal
sins. The last three trumpets or "woes" specifically picture three
phases of catastrophic world war. At the last trumpet, mankind will be saved
from extinction by the Second Coming of Yahshua Messiah!
Did Yahshua promise to send His angels to gather together
His elect at the blast of the last great trumpet?
“Mat 24:29 And
immediately after the suffering of those days the sun will be darkened and the
moon will not give her light, and the stars will fall from the heaven, and the
powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Mat 24:30 And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the
heavens. And then all the tribes of the land will wail. And they will see the
Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and much glory. Mat 24:31 And
He will send His cherubs with a great sound of a large trumpet, and they will
gather His chosen ones from the four winds, from the ends of the sky to the
other.”
Is the sounding of this trumpet the time of the resurrection
of the dead in Messiah?
1Th 4:15 “For we say this to you in the Word of
Yahweh, that we the living who remain to the coming of our Master will not at
all go before those who have fallen asleep.
1Th 4:16 Because
the Master Himself shall come down from Heaven with a commanding shout of an
archangel's voice, and with Yahweh’s trumpet. And the dead in Messiah will rise
again first.
1Th 4:17 Then
we who remain alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet
with our Master in the air. And so we will always be with our Master.”
1Co 15:51 “Behold,
I speak a mystery to you: we shall not all fall asleep, but we shall all be
changed.
1Co 15:52 In a
moment, in a blinking of an eye, at the last trumpet; for a trumpet will sound,
and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall all be changed.”
This is the seventh and final trumpet, the last one of the
seven introduced in Revelation 8.
COMMENT: Notice very
carefully that all true believers are on earth during this time of great trouble
until the seventh trumpet. There is NO pre-tribulation rapture mentioned in
Scripture, but is a lie of Christianity so that they will not prepare for this
terrible time that is just ahead of us.
At the sound of the seventh trumpet,
announcing the return of Yahshua Messiah, the first fruits of Yahweh's plan
will be resurrected and changed - born as immortal spirit beings into the
Family of Yahweh! Yahweh will then have reaped the smaller spiritual harvest of
individuals into His Family. They will then begin to help Messiah rule the
earth (Rev. 20:6) and reap the much greater spiritual harvest during and after
the Millennium. The last three festivals picture the details of how this will
be accomplished.” (For full lesson go to: www.coyhwh.com)
The significance of the blowing of the shofar or trumpet is
to give a warning. The Watchmen of the body of Messiah have been blowing the
shofars of warning via their speech and countenance. The warnings have
unfortunately fallen on deaf ears in many cases. The time of warning I feel in
my spirit is coming to an end. The whirlwind of blasphemy, deception, agenda
and overall contempt for Yahweh upon this land are truly spinning into a
perfect storm. If people are not awake to the facts that are so evident at this
junction in time than they are spiritually dead and willfully choosing to be
asleep. Yahweh tells us in His word not to choose ignorance to your
surroundings or current situations but to seek truth and knowledge of it: “My people perish for the lack of
knowledge. Because you rejected the knowledge, I also rejected you from being
priest to Me. Since you have forgotten the Torah of your Elohim, I will forget
you sons, even I.” Hosea 4:6
We have allowed ourselves to be distracted, plain and
simple. I pray more people wake up to the facts that all are pointing to the
times we are in.
The message put on my heart for this feast of trumpets is
one of blowing our verbal trumpet and being unashamed. We are currently seeing
the persecution of Bible believer’s amp up (as I displayed in my last post.)
The agenda’s at play on the different fronts of political correctness are
becoming more militant and intolerant. For the first time in this nation’s
history a Christian was arrested and jailed for standing up for her (Kim Davis)
beliefs on marriage. Article here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/kim-davis-jail-huckabee_55ef258be4b093be51bc5dcc
This is unprecedented and should be truly disturbing to the
millions of professing Christians in this nation. So I feel in this season we
are entering that we should be blowing the verbal shofars of our faith. Yahshua
said in Luke’s account that “whoever is ashamed of Me and My Words, the
Son of Man will be ashamed of that one when He comes in His glory, and that of
the Father, and of the holy cherubs.” Luke 9:26
The account of Simon Peter and Messiah the evening before
his crucifixion tells us of how even those closest to Yahshua had human
weakness. Also, how Satan wants us to falter in our faith and succumb to the
status quo of this world. Again in Luke we see where Yahshua prayed for Simon
Peter to not be weakened in his faith. “And the Master said, Simon, Simon, behold!
Satan wants to sift all of you like wheat. And I have prayed over you that your
faith may not weaken. Also in time you will turn and strengthen your brothers.”
Luke 22:31-32 He knew that Peter was going to deny Him but would later
be emboldened by the Holy Spirit (Ruach Ha’Kodesh) once Pentecost (Shavuot)
occurred. Peter claimed he was ready to “go both to prison and to death with You
(Yahshua).” Luke 22:33
Yahshua responded “Peter, I say to you. A cock will not crow
today before you will deny knowing me three times.” Luke 22:35
The moral shown here is that we must not be afraid of
speaking the truth. Me must remember Peter in his weakness, we must learn from
his example. The time is coming when we will be in one way or another put on
the spot and asked what it is we stand for. This fall feast season let’s take
up our trumpets and proclaim the truth of the Messiah and not be ashamed of
that truth. Political correctness may be the new religion of this nation but my
faith is in the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. We will all give and
account for what we say and do in this life. Let’s bear good fruit in this next
season and be that light in the dark places and stay salty in our convictions (Reference,
Matt 5:13-16)
I pray this message has blessed you! Please forward to your
loved ones who want a deeper understanding of Yahweh’s appointed times. I will
be putting together another post on the remaining feast this coming week.
B’Shem Yahshua and Happy Yom Teruah!
